Tuesday Tips… Hapland Walkthrough
Good morning solution seekers, hint hunters and other alliterative types here for answers. This week we’ve brought you the solution to an oldie, but a goodie – the surreal puzzle game Hapland.
It’s a tricky beast, and can be made uncompleteable by pressing things in the wrong order – the reset button is your friend!
So, follow this step-by-step guide to solve the puzzle (or skip to the end for a pretty comprehensive video Hapland walkthrough):
1. Click the window on the left and it will open.
2. Click the red arrow to make it swing to the right.
3. Open the manhole cover.
4. Click the yellow arrow – a stickman will come out and stand by it.
5. Click the man standing next to the lever. The cannon will shoot a rock, knocking the wooden plank over the chasm.
6. Click on the cannon to change its trajectory, making it now aim for the bell.
7. Click the man with the lever again – this time a white rock will fire out the cannon, hit the bell and fall down next to the spear.
8. Click the cannon again to revert to its original trajectory.
9. Careful: This step is tricky and very easy to get wrong, requiring a restart! Click the leverman again to fire the cannon – this time it will be a grenade, so quickly click the bridge to lift it up – if done right, the grenade will bounce off and detonate harmlessly.
10. Repeat step 9 for a second grenade.
11. Click the cannon-man once again, and let the projectile bounce around. It will land in the hole next to the man in the cave, who will use it to open the gate.
12. Click the man with the lever again, and he will hop into the cannon.
13. Click the yellow arrow, and a new man will emerge next to the lever.
14. Click the cannon one more time to aim it up against the bell…
15. Click man with the lever again. Immediately afterwards, click the spear to lower it to avoid said stickman meeting a sticky (oh dear) end. If this works, your stickman will now be up next to the bell tower.
16. Click the bell tower man to move the bell tower to the right.
17. Click the bell 3 times and it will fall onto the spear, which will catapult the rock to the right, landing on the mine exploding it.
18. Click the door on the lower left hand side. Another stickman will pop out, heading to the door on the right, turning on the light. The first torch on the portal will light!
19. Exact timing needed again here! Click the man in the cave and get ready to click the window! The man in the cave will begin to walk to the door on the right, which will cause the crate to open and a dog to fall out. As soon as the dog lands, click the window to open it. If this is timed right, the stickman in the house will close the window, causing the rock to fall on the dog and kill it (Yes, this is correct!) The stickman will then light the second portal light to win the game!
