What Sequels are Coming to Mousebreaker?
Want to know what’s being cooked in the Mousebreaker kitchen at the moment? Sure you do… okay, we’ll open the door so you can have a quick look at what we’re working on sequels-wise. We’re working on brand new stuff as well, but really you want to know about sequels, right?
We don’t know release dates for these unless we say so!
Ultimate Football Management 2013
What is it?
A seasonal update to our football management game, with the latest squad updates and a few other changes we think will have a nice impact.
What’s new?
As well as the latest up to date squads and a couple of extra playable leagues (we hope – we’re kind of limited by Flash in that respect, but fingers crossed), we’ve added youth players, and an important change in difficulty: big players will want to join big clubs. Injuries will also be less common – we know that was a big issue, and it’s been fixed!
Why am I not playing it THIS SECOND?
To have the most up-to-date squads, we’re waiting for the January transfer window to close. So it should be released early February, just giving us a little time to tie up the loose ends.
Sports Heads Football Championship 2013
What is it?
A seasonal update to our biggest game: Sports Heads Football Championship
What’s new?
New heads, new stadia, new sounds, smarter AI… the same brilliant gameplay. Also, as we’ve said before here, this won’t just be on Mousebreaker.com.
Why the delay?
Yes, we announced this a while ago. Yes, we thought it would be out now too. No, we still don’t have a release date. Why? Because we’re rebuilding the game from scratch in a different programming language for incredibly good reasons I can’t go into here (but it is important, trust me). We’re having some teething troubles, but are on the home stretch with it. It’ll be worth the wait, we think.
Jumpers for Goalposts 5
What is it?
You be the centre forward again in our hugely popular football lifestyle sim!
What’s new?
Lots of neat changes under the bonnet, but the biggest one you’ll notice right away is a number of new mini-games to make match day that bit more varied.
How long must I wait?
We’re probably talking months rather than weeks on this one – it’s such a massive game it’s hard to tell until we see a new build. Work is underway though, and has been for some time…
Pinch Hitter 4
What is it?
Doing for baseball what Jumpers for Goalposts does for football!
What’s new?
Pinch Hitter 3 introduced a very basic lifestyle sim to the American version of Rounders. We’ll be building on that, and tying in new gameplay modes first seen in last year’s Pinch Hitter Game Day.
When, when, when? I must know!
This one is a long way off – we haven’t started work on it yet, so it’ll be after the others.
Sports Heads Basketball Championship
What is it?
You’ve played Sports Heads Basketball? It’s like that, only with a league structure. Think of the change as like Sports Heads Football –> Sports Heads Football Championship, or Sports Heads Tennis –> Sports Heads Tennis Open.
What’s new?
League and play offs! Also, upgrades and more goodies!
When can I play this wonder of gaming brilliance?
We’re probably talking this month, fingers crossed!

Ben and Uzair: No – there’s no point in including loans in UFM when there’s no player wages.
I have a question for JFG5. Will there be only England unlocked or are you planning to unlock more leagues?
I was beginning to even forget waiting for JFG5 but I bet its worth the wait, good to hear pinch hitter is getting depth also. But relating to the above question, will the MLS be involved in JFG5 is the thing thats been on my mind because it is a fairly simple league in comparison to most.
JJK: As with Jumpers 4, you will get the English league for free, with the option to buy additional leagues if you want. This may not be in at launch, but we’ll do our best.
tacotastic: The MLS isn’t simple at all in terms of game structure. We considered it for JFGP4, but it was too different to the other, and would have made the natural flow of the game trickier (I.E: you’re supposed to start in a low league and work your way up, but int the MLS you’re there from the start). So no, it won’t be in 5 I’m afraid.

will the thing that was in jfg4 where you passed it too a player and they missed but you get the blame and lose rating for it be fixed i found that incredibly annoying also in sports head championship will there be tournaments like the fa cup and champions league in there as well

When will JFG5 be released? And also : are you planning a sql to “Super Shot Stoppers” ?. It would be nice to be like JFG , but for a goalkeeper.

To answer the replies about games not mentioned:
Super Shot Stopper, Harry Quantum and New Star Soccer (not mentioned here, but elsewhere) are not made by us, so that’s beyond our control.
Football Tycoon 3: not on the cards right now. I personally love it (I wrote the design doc and commissioned it, as well as writing the random events in it), but it’s not popular enough to justify the cost of a sequel right now.
Grand Prix Tycoon: it kind of is our game, but the developers don’t work with us so much anymore, so unlikely right now, again, but not impossible.
