Evil vs Evil in Super Villainy

We’ve got a couple of new games going up this week, the first of which pits super villain against super villain. It’s Super Villainy:

Move with the keyboard, and aim with the mouse. Other villains will swarm around you, but use your special shot (space bar) and bullet time (left click hold) to dodge them and show you’re the most evil. Between rounds, be sure to upgrade your skills and recruit sidekicks to help out…

GTO Drift Speeds onto Mousebreaker

Another new game for you this week, in the form of GTO Drift. Unlike most racing games, this one is purely controlled with the mouse and a car magnet to drag your vehicle in the right direction.

More Basketballs AND Formula Racer 2012

I’m proud to announce not one, but two new games up on Mousebreaker today. Sure, that’s mainly because I didn’t have time to write about one of them on Friday, and we’ve just enjoyed a long weekend, but still…

The first up is Basketballs: Level Pack. It’s rare that a game tells you exactly what it is in the title, but anyone who played the original will find it does just that. More levels of passing, shooting and smacking-the-ref-in-the-face puzzle action.

Then just today we published Formula Racer 2012. You may remember last year’s version pictured above, and this one brings you a much deeper game with 3 different car classes and money for upgrades.

Sports Heads Hit America in Sports Heads: Basketball

On Friday, we brought back an old adventure series exclusively on Mousebreaker. The last episode was all the way back in 2009, but the story is ready to be re-opened…

Weekender: What We’re Working On Now

3 years ago we sponsored a series of science fiction horror adventure games called Being One. It was a set of 4 games, and they were pretty popular. Some people thought the final chapter – Episode 4 – didn’t answer all their questions.

They were right. That’s because there’s more to come!

More answers (and more questions!) coming to the series, exclusively on Mousebreaker next week!

Parking Perfection 6 Pulls Up to Mousebreaker

As mentioned a few weeks ago, we’ve been working on the sixth instalment of our precision parking sim, Parking Perfection. Sub-titled “Valet of the Kings” (no, we have no shame), this latest instalment puts you in charge of navigating 3 different cars through a bunch of new environments.

You’ll have to look out for pedestrians and other motorists on later levels, so keep your wits about you.

Help! My Mousebreaker Game Won’t Save…

We’ve noticed a load of comments recently about games not saving: the main culprits are Jumpers for Goalposts 4 and Ultimate Football Management.

So if your Jumpers for Goalposts 4 won’t save, then read this:

First of all, the games do save automatically.

However, they’re also a bit different to our other games. Both Ultimate Football Management and Jumpers for Goalposts 4 save a lot of data – club records, team data, player changes, your stats – all sorts.

Flash needs permission to save plenty of stuff locally. If you’re not set up to allow this to happen, or you allow less than we need, our games ask to save and your computer says no. You need to set your computer to say yes to Mousebreaker.

Here’s how it’s done. Bear in mind, if you’re in an office, school or don’t have an administrator account where you don’t control this stuff, you might not be able to change it.

Flash storage settings are fixed in two places. One for the site as a whole, and one for each game. We’re going to do both here. First, the site as a whole.

1) Go here: http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager07.html

2) Find Mousebreaker in the list of sites, and move the slider all the way over to unlimited as so:

Next, you need to set it up for the games you’re having trouble with. So, if it’s Jumpers for Goalposts 4…

1) Go to Jumpers for Goalposts 4

2) Right click on the game window, and click settings

3) Go to the third tab on the selection, with a little folder icon

4) Move the local storage slider all the way over to ‘unlimited’

If that doesn’t fix it, there’s a few other possible causes:

1) You have deleted your cookies – your browser may be set up to delete cookies every time it closes. This may lose your saves!
2) You’re in private browsing mode
3) You’re on a shared computer that doesn’t allow you to save data locally
