Are you a budding flash game developer? Do you know what sort of game goes down a storm on Mousebreaker? Then enter our game developer competition for the chance to win cash prizes!
As Mousebreaker.com is best known for its sports games, we’re in a good position to judge what makes a good sports game. And this is where your game development talent comes in! Simply put together an addictive sports game, and send it our way before midnight on Friday 2nd July 2010. Not only will it be featured on Mousebreaker.com (if it conforms to our rules and regulations), but after the competition closes we’ll be rewarding the best two with cash prizes: the best developer will receive £3500, while the runner-up will get £1500!
Whether you’re an established seasoned games developer, a student or a bedroom creator, getting your competition entry up on Mousebreaker couldn’t be easier. We’re not looking for source code or an exclusive licence, either – so you’re perfectly entitled to upload the game elsewhere – just make sure you include the Mousebreaker Sports Competition logo when you do.
1) Make an Addictive Sports Game
Let’s put the hardest step first! Take a good look at our Rules of Entry to make sure you don’t put a foot wrong, and then make a killer sports game in flash.
2) Send it Our Way
When your game’s up and running, and you’re ready to release it into the wild, send it to sportscompetition@mousebreaker.com before the deadline of July 2nd 2010.
We do have certain rules about the game itself though. Briefly (more detailed instructions are here), each entry must be:
- Built in Flash and be compiled into a .SWF file. We won’t even look at .exe, .fla or .flv files.
- Be no larger than 800×1000. Smaller than that is absolutely fine, but that’s as big as our humble website can support.
- Include the Mousebreaker Sports Competition logo on the loading screen, with a link to www.mousebreaker.com/sportscompetition
- Be no more than 5mb in size. We have to draw a line somewhere.
- Comply with our Rules of Entry, terms and conditions and privacy policy.
3) Let the Judging Commence!
Gamers from around the world will then get cracking on your game, ourselves included. From there, our panel of judges will pick a ‘Top 2’, which will get placement in the carousel, and the designers rewarded with cash prizes!
In entering the competition you grant us a non-exclusive licence for the game – you are free to send your game to other websites if you please!
